
Brenda Goldman is a professional artist and art instructor, residing in Medfield, Mass. Brenda grew up and lived most of her adult life in Connecticut, where she had a career in the Aerospace industry. She became an avid ‘stained glass’ crafter and later an instructor. After taking an early retirement, Brenda went back to college to pursue a second career in fine art. She completed a full-time art program, receiving a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art graduating with honors in 2008. Her senior thesis work consisted of 3-dimensional glass sculpture which was accepted in the Decker gallery (MICA 2008 Graduate Show). Brenda currently teaches drawing and watercolor classes in several communities including Westwood and Sherborn. She has received three Mass Cultural Council grants that fund community-based art classes and art shows. At the present time, her main focus of work is in drawing and watercolor painting media which is also her teaching focus. Brenda’s method of teaching has been recognized in local media as being innovative and has been well received by her students. Brenda has exhibited her work in several juried art shows, e.g. Zullo Gallery and Duxbury Art Association. She has also curated several art exhibits for her art students at the Westwood Public Library.
